Match Review: Northampton 2-4 Bolton

Ian Evatt, after a rocky beginning and mounting pressure, has seemingly come out of this rut, and Bolton has begun to slowly climb back up the table.

The Whites flew out of the blocks straight from the off, and within twenty-five minutes, they were two to the good.

A changed front line of Aaron Collins and John McAtee proved to be effective, as the latter opened the account for the night. The second game twenty minutes later, as George Thomason’s first league goal since March gave Evatt’s men daylight.

The visitors picked up where they left off from the first period, as Eoin Toal's first goal since last season's play-off semi-final and the inspired substitution of Dion Charles ensued a clinical night.

Two ninety-minute goals couldn’t sugarcoat what was a brilliant night for Wanderers as they continue to climb up the table.

We will be returning to the Toughsheet this coming Saturday, as Shrewsbury is the visiting team.
