Match Review: Crawley 0-2 Bolton

Wanderers secured back-to-back league wins as they dispatched newly promoted Crawley Town at a ground that has been kind to them in recent years.

Kyle Dempsey, who was one of two early kick-offs on Saturday, returned to the starting line-up after coming off the bench against Reading, with the midfielder duly netting the opener.

Despite manager Scott Lindsay’s departure midweek for pastures new at MK Dons, caretaker manager Ben Gladwin seemingly implemented a similar style, as the hosts liked to keep possession throughout; however, Nathan Baxter’s abode was largely untested throughout.

Substitutions proved to be the solution to find Bolton’s second, as John McAtee was introduced to the fray after replacing Dion Charles, and 12 minutes later he made the desired impact as he netted the all-important sealer.

Despite the good run, attention swiftly turns to Tuesday night as Wanderers travel to Northampton Town looking for a third league win on the bounce.
