Evatt “Scratching His Head” After Derby Defeat
Bolton Wanderes were on the receiving end of a 1-0 defeat to Derby County after Kane Wilson’s goal 10 minutes from time was the killer blow for Wanderers who slip 4 points below their automatic promotion rivals.
Seven games remain for the Whites in what looks to be a tense climax for teams vowing for a place in the Championship.
Speaking to Wanderers TV, Evatt was left dumbfounded by how the Wanderers were beaten at Pride Park.
“I'm really scratching my head as to how we've come away from here with nothing,” said Evatt.
“We had large spells of dominance and really controlled the game, but we just didn't take our moments. We've lost out on the one moment in the second half where we conceded. It feels really hard.”
The Bolton manager is still in high spirits as the term closes and insists an automatic spot is still in the balance.
“We believe it isn't over, and we'll keep calm, keep focused, and we'll keep fighting until the end. This group is capable of winning seven straight games, and if we do, I believe we will be promoted.”
