Bolton Vs Luton: Match Preview

Ian Evatt’s men return to action this Tuesday when Premier League Luton Town visit Bolton for an FA Cup replay.

Wanderers are returning to full action for the first time since Wednesday’s progression in the EFL Trophy against Accrington Stanley, as Saturday’s meeting with Cheltenham Town was abandoned.

The Premier League outfit is another obstacle in Bolton’s way, as the highly-tipped promotion favourites from the third tier will have a mentality where they can beat anyone they face.

Bolton’s recent form reads five wins from their last six fixtures, with the only game they weren’t victorious in being the first game against Luton, and a cup upset is firmly on the cards.

Their opponents, Luton, are the Premier League’s underdogs this term, being firmly wedged in the relegation battle, but a fighting spirit and endeavour to succeed have seen them earn high praise.

With some huge results this season already, you wouldn’t forgive Rob Edwards and his side for wanting to go on a cup run, but no doubt survival in England’s top tier is paramount.

Barring the 0-0 draw at Kenilworth Road a little over a week ago, this is the first competitive meeting between the two sides since 1995, where coincidentally, the game ended in a goalless draw.

This game will take place at the Toughsheet Community Stadium tonight, with a 7:45 kick-off.
