Silver Screen Weekly- What's Coming Up At The Cinema From Friday 27th June
Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week.
From Friday 27th June
M3GAN 2.0 (15)
Oops she’s at it again! The all singing, all dancing, slaying, murderous android M3GAN (Amie Donald and Jenna Davis) is back and this time it’s war! After almost killing her family in the first film, this time we go all Terminator 2, as M3GAN reunites with Gemma (Allison Williams) and her tech team to help take down another dangerous mass murdering android called AMELIA. Knowing that this is M3GAN’s chance to not only save Cady (Violet McGraw), as is her core programing, but to get a kick ass upgrade. Transforming the horror thrills into sci-fi action beats, and leaning into its own sassy preposterousness, this sequel embraces the madness and is an absolute blast on the big screen to kick off summer season.
From Wednesday 2nd July
Jurassic World: Rebirth (12a)
From Gareth Edwards, the director of Rogue One, Godzilla and The Creator, comes this heart-racing rebirth of the Jurassic World series, as an expedition to gather potentially lifesaving DNA takes a group to an island that houses dinosaurs that were genetic failures and thus, among the deadliest ever created! Starring Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey and Mahershala Ali, Jurassic World: Rebirth looks to lean back into the genetics, horror and spectacle of this legendary series and is already being called an incredible big screen experience that is bold, scary, visionary and absolutely thrilling to behold.
