Chelsea 1-0 Leeds United: The Blues Through To The Final In Heartbreak For Leeds

Chelsea are through to the FA Cup final against Manchester City, after beating Leeds United by one goal in the first half.
This game was the first one in charge for Calum McFarlane in as interim manager, following the recent sacking of Liam Rosenior.
Despite chances from Noah Okafor Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Brenden Aaronson, Leeds were certainly the poorer team in the first half.
Chelsea were the dominant team consistently, and managed to control the play throughout.
Chelsea ‘s domination in the first half certainly paid off for them, with the only goal of the game coming in the 23rd minute in the form of an Enzo Fernandez header.
Leeds certainly looked more alive in the second half, with Daniel Farke making substitutions.
Joe Rodon was brought on in place of James Justin, and Anton Stach came on for Jaka Bijol.
Stach instantly impacted the game, with Chelsea goalkeeper Robert Sanchez being forced to make a save in the opening minutes of the second half.
The attacking combination of Noah Okafor, Brenden Aaronson and Dominic Calvert-Lewin continued to cause havoc on the Chelsea defence, but none of them managed to get the ball into the back of the net.
Leeds will now have complete focus on maintaining survival in the Premier League.
The Cup final will no doubt be exciting to watch, with two teams who have dominated the footballing world in recent years playing each other.
During his brief tenure as Chelsea manager in January, Calum McFarlane’s side beat Pep’s Manchester City. The Blues will want to recreate this performance, with Guardiola hoping to have a different ending.
The final is set to be played at Wembley on Saturday 16th of May.
