It is a festival of finals this week stretching from European glory to playoff dreams being realised or crushed in both football and darts. It is one of the most chaotic weeks in the sporting calendar with everything on the line once again.
We cannot wait for what this week has in store, for a week full of sporting drama look no further.
Wednesdsay 28th May UEFA Conference League Final Real Betis v Chelsea 20:00
The footballing world is still reeling from Tottenham’s dramatic Europa League win last Wednesday but a new week means the chance for the blue side of London to clinch some silverware in the Conference League as Chelsea face Real Betis in Wroclaw.
The two clubs have had similar league campaigns mainly fighting to once again find themselves in Europe this season but hopefully away from the Conference League. For Betis it will be a season back in the Europa League after they finished 6th in La Liga and for Maresca in his inaugural Premier League season at Stamford Bridge he has led the Blues to Champions League qualification following a win over Nottingham Forest on the final day
When it comes to the Conference League, Chelsea have been tipped as favourites since the group stage as they topped the group with a 100 percent record of six wins from six while only conceding five goals. They only went on to let in three more goals across the knockout stage against Copenhagen, Legia Warsaw and Djurgarden..
Manuel Pelligrini’s Betis had to make it to the final the heard way having failed to make an impact in the group stage, finishing fifteenth and needing a playoff win over Gent to meet the rest in the knockouts. From there it got no simpler for Betis who then had to face second in the group Vitoria GuimaraesVitoria Guimaraes who took a 2-2 back from Spain only to be beaten 4-0 in Portugal.
Closely fought ties against Jagiellonia and Fiorentina could have been the tipping point but a 97th minute Ezzalzouli goal secured a 4-3 aggregate win over two time runners up from Florence for a chance to win their first European title while Chelsea could be bestowed the honour of winning every major UEFA title.

Thursday 29th May BetMGM Premier League Playoffs Luke Littler v Gerwyn Price 19:15
We have finally reached the pinnacle of the BetMGM Premier League for 2025 as all nights have been and gone and the multi-country wide tour will culminate in a London spectacle at the O2 Arena.
The first match of the day is between table topper Littler and fourth placed Price with the 18 year old being tipped as heavy favourite following not only a stellar overall campaign in which he led second placed Luke Humphries by 11 points, but a final win on Night 16 in which he proved his first placed pedigree by beating Humphries in the final.
Meanwhile Gerwyn Price was dumped out in the quarter finals by Chris Dobey who finished well outside the playoff picture. It was not the ending the Welshman was hoping for, but his consistency in previous weeks was enough to secure his fourth spot over multiple Premier League champion and former world champion Michael Van Gerwen.
The two have directly contrasting records as of late with Littler full of momentum following three wins from his previous three whereas Price is coming into this off the back of a deflating three game losing streak including one to Littler on Night 14.
That loss in Leeds was the second consecutive defeat for Price against The Nuke, but prior to that poor showing it is the Iceman that has had the upper hand on the new darling of darts with their overall record being played 13 with six wins for Littler and seven for Price.
With the way the two are performing it is looking like Littler could be the one progressing to face the winner of Humphries v Aspinall. But a shock from Price would take him one step closer to clinching his first ever Premier League title and add to his seven PDC majors wins while a win for Littler would signal back to back Premier League titles and add to an already impressive eight televised titles.

Friday 30th May Betfred Super League Hull KR v Saint Helens 20:00
Round 13 of Super League is serving up a clash between perennial pre season favourites in St Helens and unexpected performers in Hull KR.
The Yorkshire side have surprised many in the Super League so far this campaign as they currently find themselves in top spot on 22 points and having only lost a single game this season. Rovers are on a six-game winning streak and have most recently shown their champions quality after a 31-12 away win over Warrington Wolves. That streak has only included one team currently in the top six which was Leeds Rhinos who they only narrowly defeated 14-20 at Headingley.
Their only loss has come against second placed Wigan Warriors who sit just two points behind Hull in the league but despite that slip up Rovers have shown they can take on any team with relative ease having already beaten Saints 20-10 earlier on in the campaign.
It is up to the Saints to make that loss right, but prior to recent wins over strugglers Huddersfield and Catalan they had lost three straight Super League matches. That poor run dropped them down the playoff picture into fifth and six points away from automatic semi final qualification.
Paul Wellens men will be hoping that slide has been halted especially with Wakefield who sit on the same points and Hull FC with one point fewer breathing down their neck. If the side’s previous meetings is anything to go by it is Hull KR who have had the upper hand with the last time Saints having beaten KR being inn August 2023. Those losses in the intervening period have not been close affairs either, as ten points is the fewest margin Hull have won by in the past two years with a pulverising 42-6 being the largest.
