Silver Screen Weekly - What's Coming Up At The Cinema From Friday 2nd February 2024

Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week.

From Friday 2nd February

Argylle (12a)
This spy action/comedy comes from Matthew Vaughn (Kingsman, Kick-Ass) and is an explosive, hilarious and twisty affair. The film tells the story of an author whose bestselling Argylle spy novels, might just have real life implications! As she - and her pet cat - are unexpectedly thrust into a real life spy plot. Boasting an amazing all star cast that includes, Henry Cavill, Bryce Dallas Howard, Sam Rockwell, Catherine O’Hara, Dua Lipa, Ariana DeBose, Bryan Cranston, John Cena and Samuel L. Jackson, Argylle is a wild big screen spy caper that has plenty of surprises up the sleeves of its sharp suits!

Migration (U)
From Illumination Entertainment, the creators of Despicable Me, Minions and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, Migration is an original animated family adventure that takes you on a journey across land, sky and city! Telling the story of a family of ducks that decide to leave the safe existence in their New England pond for an adventurous trip to Jamaica. Needless to say things go a bit awry, and they end up lost in New York City, among many other things!! Funny, beautifully animated and heart-racingly exciting, Illumination's latest is fun for the entire family and stars a vocal cast of some huge names, that includes Awkwafina, Kumail Nanjiani, Danny DeVito, Elizabeth Banks, Keegan-Michael Key and David Mitchell. The film is also accompanied by a Despicable Me short film!
