The film follows a young group of friends who film themselves taking part in a game of communication with the spirits, using an embalmed hand. However, soon these thrills turn into a waking nightmare as the game goes too far, unleashing evil forces. The heroes in a half shell are back on the big screen, in this dazzling animated feature, which brings Peter Laird and Kevin Eastman’s more faithfully to life than ever before. From director Jeff Rowe and writer/producer Seth Rogen, Mutant Mayhem sees the turtle heroes (young newcomers Micah Abbey, Shamon Brown Jr., Nicolas Cantu and Brady Noon) try and be accepted in New York City as normal teenagers with their heroic acts. But, alongside human friend April O’ Neil (Ayo Edebiri), their attempt to overthrow a crime syndicate results in them facing an army of mutant creatures! Funny, stylish and exciting, this is a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for a new generation, while also paying respect to the franchise’s past.
