Wykeland Group has appointed Amy Whittaker as the new Centre Manager at the Flemingate shopping and leisure destination in Beverley, East Yorkshire. Amy brings nearly 20 years of experience in retail management, having previously served as Centre Director at The Potteries Centre in Stoke-on-Trent, alongside management roles at the Trafford Centre and Merry Hill.

Her appointment coincides with Flemingate approaching full occupancy and recording a 3% increase in year-to-date footfall. The role forms part of Wykeland’s enhanced operating model across its retail portfolio, providing a dedicated senior on-site presence to support incoming occupiers such as Yorkshire Trading Company and indoor golf venue FORE!. Jason Platten, Wykeland’s Head of Retail and Leisure, welcomed her appointment, noting that her extensive experience will help the centre reach its full potential.



Morgan Sindall Construction has appointed Nick Corrigan as the new Area Director for its North East and Cumbria business. Bringing 30 years of construction industry experience, Nick will oversee the firm's regional operations spanning public and private sector schemes valued between £10m and £100m. Current regional projects include the Ministry of Defence estate optimisation programme at Marne Barracks in Catterick, educational developments such as Appleby Grammar School, and the Outer West Leisure Centre in Newcastle.

Cumbria law firm Thomson Hayton Winkley has strengthened its family law team with the appointment of Jordan Wallace as a family solicitor. Based at the firm’s Kendal headquarters, Jordan brings more than 10 years of legal experience, having previously worked at Laker Legal Solicitors in Lancaster and Simpson Millar. He advises clients on a broad spectrum of family matters, including divorces, finances, domestic abuse, child arrangements, and pre-nuptial agreements.

His arrival follows the recent appointments of Nina Hood as head of residential property and Phil Capstick in litigation and dispute resolution.

Ward Hadaway has appointed Barnaby Rosenthall as a legal director within its Teesside office, bolstering the firm's construction and engineering law practice.
