Wykeland Managing Director Dominic Gibbons, second left, with from left, promoted team members Liam Knaggs, Natalia Rudd, Matt Clarkson and Tom Watson outside Burton House in Hull city centre, one of the developer’s flagship projects.
Hull-based property developer Wykeland Group has implemented a new leadership structure following four internal promotions. The move is designed to reinforce the company’s strategic focus on regeneration and asset management across Yorkshire and Lincolnshire.

Tom Watson becomes Head of Regeneration after 12 years with the firm, where he has overseen the Fruit Market urban village in Hull. Matt Clarkson has been named Head of Facilities Management, taking responsibility for a portfolio spanning two million square feet. Natalia Rudd steps into the role of Head of Marketing, while Liam Knaggs becomes Head of Business Space, overseeing out-of-town offices and industrial assets.

The promotions come as Wykeland advances several high-value projects, including a proposed three million sq ft tissue paper mill in Goole for Finnish investor Metsä Tissue.

"These key appointments demonstrate the very strong focus we have on developing and rewarding talent within the business," said Managing Director Dominic Gibbons.

Women in Property has named Kelly Brown, a Planning Associate at international law firm CMS, as its new Chair for the Yorkshire and North East branch. Taking office on 1 March, Ms Brown succeeds the outgoing chair for a one-year term.

A committee member for four years, she will lead regional initiatives including mentoring and schools outreach. Pip Hunsworth, Associate Director at engineering consultancy Buro Happold, has been appointed Vice Chair.

"The organisation’s ethos is all about prioritising and empowering people, as we seek to improve gender parity in the industry," said Ms Brown.

Yorkshire-based Thomas Alexander Homes has bolstered its senior management team with the appointments of Dave Witney as Technical Director and Steven Lister as Construction Director. Mr Lister, who began his career as an apprentice joiner at 16, brings nearly four decades of experience to lead the construction division, ensuring projects are delivered on schedule and within budget.

Founded in 2017 by brothers Alex and Tom Blease, the company has built a reputation for high-quality, sustainable developments across the region. Managing Director Alex Blease noted that the pair’s combined eight decades of experience would be "invaluable" as the business scales its operations across Yorkshire.
