Outdoor media business Outdo Media, which operates across 30,000 sites nationwide, has appointed media specialist Steve Auckland as its new chairman. Auckland, who has held senior roles at the Evening Standard, Metro, and was formerly managing director of Yorkshire Post Newspapers, replaces Andrew Walker, who steps into a non-executive director role. Auckland's appointment follows a record first half of 2025 for the group, which rebranded earlier this year from CP Media, Eye Airports, and Adverta. CEO Mike Brennan stated that Auckland will bring a "fresh perspective" as the company targets £20 million in revenue by 2027. Auckland said he would "facilitate and encourage further developments" in a sector that holds "huge potential." The company reports 20% year-on-year growth.

The Cumberland Building Society has named Stuart Miller as its new Chief Executive Officer, pending regulatory approval. He joins from Newcastle Building Society, bringing 38 years of financial services experience to succeed Des Moore in 2026. Miller, known for his work on the Government's High Street Task Force and his commitment to rural financial access, reinforces The Cumberland’s “people first” ethos. Commenting on his appointment, he stressed the importance of physical branches, stating: “The high street matters, because it’s where communities connect.” As the largest financial institution in Cumbria, The Cumberland operates 31 branches across the North of England and Scotland. Miller's vision is to balance digital advancement—including the society’s largest-ever digital transformation—with its core values of personal service and community trust. The society has recently refurbished branches in the region, underlining its commitment to face-to-face interaction.
