Catgill Farm, the luxury glamping and camping destination nestled in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, has unveiled an exciting new dog-friendly upgrade for 2026, designed for those who want to explore the great outdoors with their four-legged companion without compromising on comfort, relaxation and style.

The Dog Bunk
While three of Catgill’s timber glamping pods, The Duck, The Pheasant and The Stag, have long welcomed guests and their dogs, 2026 sees The Duck enhanced with a brand-new dedicated dog bunk area. This new addition includes a large Ivy & Duke dog bed, treat station and a fully enclosed surrounding space tailored specially for pets. Inside, each pod sleeps up to six (maximum four adults) and features:
Comfortable beds, hidden bunks and a pull-out sofa bed (The Duck sleeps up to 5 guests)
A well-equipped kitchenette with crockery and cutlery
Smart TV, Wi-Fi and USB charging ports
Ensuite shower room, radiators and luxury linens
A spacious outdoor patio with private wood-fired hot tub, fire pit, BBQ & pizza oven

Dog-friendly touches extend throughout the stay, with bowls, cosy blankets, treats and secure lead points provided alongside access to a designated on-site dog walking field where dogs can enjoy safe, off-lead time. Catgill Farm is also surrounded by a network of scenic Yorkshire Dales walking routes, from riverside paths to woodland trails, making it easy for both dogs and their owners can enjoy nature at their own pace.
“Guests are increasingly looking for places where they can slow down and spend meaningful time together,” said Oliver Barker, owner of Catgill Farm. “We’ve always welcomed dogs at Catgill but for 2026 we wanted to do more, creating spaces that make it easy to relax, reconnect and enjoy the countryside with your dog alongside you.”
Catgill’s dog-friendly offering reflects the site’s wider ethos of relaxed, sustainable escape: from cosy evenings around the fire pit to rustic breakfasts in the fresh air, giving guests the chance to embrace a gentler pace and return home feeling refreshed.
To celebrate the launch, Cat and Oli Barker, owners of Catgill Farm, have also shared their top dog walks near Bolton Abbey and the Yorkshire Dales, drawing on favourite routes they regularly explore with their own dogs and ones that perfectly complement Catgill’s dog-friendly stays.
