Hilton Opens First Conrad Resort In Mexico

Long before the challenges of Covid, Hilton was most probably planning another of its virgin brand forays into Mexico.

As a result the first Conrad-branded resort in the country, the new Conrad Punta de Mita, set on a two-mile-long beach on the Pacific coast of the Riviera Nayarit, has started to welcome guests.

Conrad Punta de Mita is a new 325-room property that will offer a tranquil retreat for guests, surrounded by palm trees and the Pacific Ocean.
Dovetailing with the dramatic scenery, resort bungalows, pavilions, and cabanas are nestled in coastal vegetation and all boast views of the aquamarine ocean, with suites offering fully-furnished kitchens and living rooms, perfect for larger groups, large patios, plunge pools, freestanding soaking tubs and outdoor showers.

Drawing influence from Mexico's rich history and unique culture, indigenous artwork integrates with the luxurious amenities to create an environment that will allow visitors to connect authentically to nature and to the sophisticated, contemporary architectural design.

In terms of nearby locations in the region of Riviera Nayarit for guests to discover, the quaint seaside town of Sayulita is a mere 15-minute drive south of Mandarina. Known for its surfing, picturesque beachside cafes, and vibrant handmade arts and crafts, Sayulita’s streets exude the laid-back seaside feeling where guests can experience traditional Mexican cuisine.

Local craftsmen offer handmade gifts and goods and fashion boutiques line the winding cobbled streets.

Additional destination activities include fish market tours and cooking demonstrations with local chefs in Punta Mita; catamaran snorkelling excursions exploring the surrounding areas of Bahia de Banderas; luxury sailing adventures taking in the picturesque views of the coastline against the Sierra Madre mountains; sea safari journeys to the small fishing village of Quimixto where guests can saddle up for a horseback trail ride to a waterfall and freshwater swimming hole.
