Blue World Voyages ‘Holiday On Water' Concept Launch

Blue World Voyages, is to launch the first sports and wellness ‘holiday on water’ cruise concept to capitalise on the rising trend in 18-35 year olds wanting fitness whilst they sail.

Set to launch in 2021, the company will provide guests with access to unparalleled on-board sports and wellness facilities, along with an itinerary focused around staying active and exploring destinations beyond port towns.

The vessel will be home to state-of-the-art facilities, including a functional training & strength conditioning centre, golf & football stimulators, various fitness studios for classes such as yoga and spinning, and a sea-water lap pool enabling guests to do their laps right in the ocean.

Onshore, guests will be invited to try a range of activities, from sunset yoga in a Castellon monastery and rooftop climbing in St. Petersburg, to Nordic walking in Helsinki and running in Riga. The inaugural voyage will travel around Europe before heading to South America for the winter season.

Blue World Voyages’ active programming both onboard and ashore is targeted towards travellers who want to explore the world in one of the healthiest environments possible, promising to bring together a like-minded community of health-conscious, sports-minded individuals.

Guests can start their day with a group spinning class or learning Tai Chi, followed by a personal training session or a relaxing afternoon in the spa, before enjoying a communal evening listening to a hosted talk by one of the onboard specialists.

Whilst the UK’s number of cruise passengers reached two million last year, Blue World Voyages is hoping to also appeal to the younger generation whose travel buzzwords are wellness, self-discovery and exploration.

Prices start from $3,500 per person for a week. Price includes all gratuities, all meals in four speciality restaurants, house beer & wine onboard, some excursions (running, hiking, yoga), onboard wi-fi, laundry, three 'signature events' per cruise.
