Home County Co. is a family-run luxury home fragrance brand founded in 2018 by married couple Hannah and Oli Goundry. Their concept is simple; “We create candles, reed diffusers, and soap bars in scents inspired by British counties.” The couple have scoured the length and breadth of the beautiful British Isles discovering the landscapes, the stories and the secrets that make Britain great. They say they have captured the very essence of Blighty through a range of 40+ fragrant, nostalgic, and heartfelt scents, each of which seeks to rekindle the memory of your home county, your childhood home, or your favourite UK summer holiday destination.

From their workshop on a farm in rural Buckinghamshire, the couple hand-pour all of their scented soy candles, reed diffusers and hand care products in small batches to ensure even scent distribution for perfect products every time.

Home County Co. are passionate about the abundance of outstanding natural beauty that we are lucky enough to enjoy in the UK, and are committed to producing sustainable candles with minimal impact on the environment. Home County Co. candles are produced from natural soy wax, which is biodegradable and vegan-friendly, and all of their packaging is recyclable, plastic-free, and created in association with the World Land Trust's Carbon Balanced Paper initiative.

I was lucky enough to receive ‘The Yorkshire’ candle from Home County Co. and I can report that it looks and smells wonderful. It has a delicate white rose fragrance inspired by the heraldic badge of the House of York, a symbol that was immortalised in the verse "in the battle for England's head, York was white, Lancaster red".
