Ward Thomas Head North And Announce A New Single
Ward Thomas
One of the UK’s finest young acts, Ward Thomas, have revealed their new track
‘Painted Legacy’, the twins first new music since their duet with James Blunt earlier this year.
Ward Thomas have also released the rescheduled dates for their intimate
‘Unfiltered’ acoustic tour, which was postponed due to Covid-19. They will now head out on the 16-date run in September, including dates in Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool.
Produced by Oskar Winberg (Shawn Mendes, Paloma Faith),
‘Painted Legacy’ is beautifully moving, showcasing the girls effortless harmonies, and further pushing the development of maturity within their lyrics and sound.
Speaking of the track Lizzy said:
“We wrote this song after our uncle passed away in the summer. It's written from the perspective of his children carrying on his legacy.”
She continues:
“He was writing a book all about legacy before he died and the legacy he left behind was being a Father, a Grandfather, a husband and a friend to many.”
The track is the first to be taken from their forthcoming EP
‘The Space Between’.
Speaking of the EP, which was written and recorded between London, Hampshire and Nashville, Lizzy said:
“This EP is all about togetherness. Holding space for someone, reaching out to help, or just being present and there with someone through a difficult time.”
The September concerts we can look forward to are:
Sunday 6 September - LEEDS, City Varieties
Wednesday 9 September - MANCHESTER, RNCM Theatre
Saturday 12 September - LIVERPOOL, Grand Theatre
