Innovative anti-fraud technology developed by Manchester-based THG plc won national industry recognition at the Retail Risk’s Fraud Awards 2020.
THG Detect, which is used by THG’s own brands and THG Ingenuity partners, won Most Innovative Online/Supply Chain Solution and was Highly Commended in the Loss Prevention Online/Supply Chain Team of the Year category.
The proprietary fraud detection platform was developed by THG to identify and protect against all aspects of fraud and risk online, including defending business-critical data and customer information.
Uniquely built by retailers, for retailers, THG Detect stops loss with unmatched accuracy, with a complete suite of tools that includes: machine learning, a customer rules builder, API capability, device fingerprinting, business intelligence tools and link investigations.
Since using THG Detect for its own brands, THG has seen a significant reduction in the five primary areas it uses for fraud platform monitoring. The anti-fraud solution is suited to businesses of all sizes and is already being used by a number of THG Ingenuity partners to help them expand their global D2C capabilities.
John Gallemore, CEO of THG Ingenuity, said: “With the huge surge in online shopping during the past year, it has never been more vital for retailers to protect themselves and their customers from the risk of increasingly sophisticated fraud attempts. Accurate, reliable anti-fraud solutions like THG Detect can make a huge difference to a business’s revenue and reputation.
“The team have worked incredibly hard to build, test and implement THG Detect and we are extremely proud to win industry recognition.”
