Silver Screen Weekly - What's Coming Up At The Cinema From Friday 24th November 2023

Our film critic and media correspondent has been looking and trawling the new releases. Here's what you can see on the big screen this week.

From Friday 24th November

Wish (U)
Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 62nd animated motion picture is the perfect celebration for 100 years of Disney on the big screen! Directors Fawn Veerasunthorn and Chris Buck tell a traditional Disney story with some modern twists. The tale sees 17-year-old Asha (Ariana DeBose) looking for answers but when she wishes upon a star, she gets a bit more than she bargained for. Co-starring Chris Pine as the villainous King Magnifico, the keeper of the wishes, this film truly is a starry affair in more ways than one! This uniquely animated musical family adventure is chock full of big musical numbers, cute sidekick characters (see Alan Tudyk’s talking goat Valentino) and good old fashioned Disney magic and wonder perfect for viewers of all ages!
