Rock Choir Keep The Country Singing

On Monday, 23rd March Rock Choir launched their first daily #KeepBritainSinging broadcast to the nation. The response has been very good so far and one of the live broadcasts, via Rock Choir's main Facebook page, was hosted by York Leader, Steve Brown.

Rock Choir's daily broadcasts have been receiving many thousands of views and the engagement is not just from hundreds of Yorkshire Rockies (Rock Choir members) but from the rest of the nation's 32,000 membership and the general public too. Each day one of Rock Choir's 85 hugely talented leaders from across the UK takes their turn to host the broadcasts just like Steve Brown the York leader did.

The Facebook Live broadcasts are loosely based on a typical weekly Rock Choir rehearsal (which run in over 400 communities weekly across the UK) and everyone at home is encouraged to join in, whether they are in isolation with their families or by themselves. Viewers are able to interact with each other and the host leader during the live programme. Included daily are vocal warm ups, singing tips and a big uplifting feel good sing-along to conclude.

Rock Choir is committed to these daily broadcasts at the same time each day - 3PM on their main Facebook page until the isolation period ends for everyone: https://www.facebook.com/TheRockChoir/

It seems an interactive way to lift your spirits and feel some positivity during these unprecedented times.
