PM Must Deliver Trade Deals That Protect Jobs And Workers’ Rights, Says TUC

Commenting on the UK’s departure from the EU, TUC General Secretary Frances O’Grady said:

“As we leave the EU, the prime minister must focus on delivering trade deals that protect jobs and rights at work.

“He’s got just ten months to get this right. A decent deal with the EU must be the priority – not selling off our NHS to Donald Trump. The deal must guarantee that UK workers’ rights, such as paid holidays, will be as good or better than minimum standards set in the EU.

“In the face of so much uncertainty, working people need to stand together. We urge everyone at work to join a trade union."
