Manchester Start-up Announces 10% Annual Revenue Donation To Save The Children

A Manchester-based team of creatives and business strategists has pledged to donate up to 10% of its annual revenue to children’s growth organisation, Save the Children.

The pledge will see the start-up firm, Copy Generators, make a donation to the global organisation every time a new client subscribes to its copywriting services and is part of a commitment made via the ‘Buy One, Give One’ scheme.

Funds donated will aid Save the Children’s mission to help underprivileged children reach their potential by ensuring they stay safe, healthy and keep learning.

The announcement comes just weeks after 27-year-old entrepreneur Mitchel White launched the firm to help get the economy moving, providing job opportunities for freelance copywriters and flexible access to professional copy for business owners.

Mitchel White, founder of Copy Generators said: “Save the Children is a charity whose mission is close to my heart and their dedication to ensure all children have the opportunity to thrive and succeed through education is inspiring.

“At Copy Generators, we believe in giving everyone an opportunity to thrive, so we knew when choosing our charity, our values had to align with theirs.

“So many children don’t have access to the education that they deserve through no fault of their own, which often hinders their chances of a positive future, so we want to do all we can to help.”

According to Save the Children, more than a quarter of England’s children live in poverty and children from lower-income families are 50% less likely to do as well at school as their classmates.

Save the Children supports families in the UK by increasing parents’ skills and confidence to support their child’s learning which can help reduce the impact of poverty on their child’s future.

Mitchel added: “From our point of view, not only are we investing in the children’s future, but we are also helping to develop the next generation of creative talent.”

The firm is hoping to generate annual revenue of £250,000 in its first year meaning the target donation for 2020/21 is £25,000.
