Give Our Communities Your Best Shot By Donating To Charities In Your Area With Actimel

Last year saw significant challenges, with communities in Barnsley rallying together to support each other and care for those at risk. However, for those who were already vulnerable before the pandemic, it was far worse. Healthy and nutritious food tends to be more expensive, and up to a quarter of people** in the UK regularly cut back on this to make ends meet.

To help keep our communities resilient, Actimel has launched a new campaign to ‘Give Our Communities Your Best Shot’ giving the people of Yorkshire the opportunity to support charities by buying a pack of Actimel and unlocking a pack to be donated in their local area.

Between now and 30th April, for each pack of Actimel purchased you can donate a second to a charity in your local area via Fareshare in the UK and FoodCloud in Ireland***. The packs will be distributed throughout their network of charities, foodbanks and community groups, helping to give all local communities their best shot during the Winter months.

Lindsay Boswell, CEO Fareshare says:
“FareShare has more than doubled the amount of food we distribute in response to the Covid-19 crisis, now supplying frontline charities with enough food to create 2 million meals each week – with two thirds being accessed by children and families. Now more than ever it’s vital to ensure vulnerable people can access nutritious food, which is why we are grateful for Actimel’s support at this difficult time. This campaign gives shoppers a means to support the most vulnerable people in their communities, by simply buying a pack."

Sarah Dossett, Marketing Director Actimel says:
“The strength of British communities was inspiring in the face of such challenges last year. This year we want to encourage the spirit of community in Barnsley by donating to those who need resilience the most. We hope that by working with Fareshare we are able to go some way toward supporting people in all our communities. Each and every one of us has a role to play and as a certified B Corp it's in our DNA to do our bit.”

Small but mighty: Each shot of Actimel is packed with 10 billion L. casei cultures along with 1/3 of the recommended daily intake in vitamin D, as well as vitamin B6 which support the normal function of the immune system. Just one shot a day and you can take on whatever the day throws at you.

Actimel contains Vitamins B6 & D to help support the normal function of the immune system.
