Exodus Travels Launches Its First UK Group Tours For 2021

Adventure specialist, Exodus Travels, is launching guided walking and cycling holidays in the UK, following a surge in demand by travellers looking for explorations on their doorstep.

Covering Cornwall, south Wales, and the Scottish Highlands, the four new group tours will offer an adventure that promises to uncover some of the UK’s hidden gems, traditions, cultures, and charms while embracing the nation’s spectacular coasts, countryside and mountain-scapes.

The tour operator’s flexible booking policy and financial security also means that travellers can book safe in the knowledge that their funds will be protected should any changes occur. This is part of Exodus Travels’ book and travel with confidence promise.

Senior Product Manager, Tom Wilkinson said: “Our goal was to provide the Exodus experience but staying closer to home. Our new collection visits some fascinating places across the UK and tours each include a passionate and knowledgeable leader. By cycling and walking as much as possible, travellers will see places that they may otherwise miss, and can discover some of our own country's truly spectacular landscapes.”
Here's a taste:

RIDE THE SOUTH WALES COAST
This week-long trip offers five days of guided cycling from Swansea to St Davids, taking in the wild beauty of Wales’ beautiful coastal paths. Riding the Gower Peninsula, through the wetland conservation areas of Llanelli, across the River Towy and along the Pembrokeshire coast, the tour also visits charming villages and farmland before reaching Britain’s smallest city, St Davids.

Exodus Travels’ seven-day Ride the South Wales Coast is priced from £1,499 per person including five days of guided cycling, six nights’ accommodation with breakfast, luggage transfers and other meals and activities as listed. Bike hire is available at an additional cost.

WALK THE NORTH HIGHLAND WAY
This group trip follows Scotland’s less travelled North Highland Way, beginning with three nights in Scotland’s northernmost town of Thurso before walking west across the very top of the UK’s mainland. The adventure begins with a scenic railway journey from Edinburgh, admiring Scotland’s stunning landscapes while getting to know fellow travellers. The group tour encompasses exhilarating walks along the remote and wild North Atlantic Way, breath-taking cliff-top views, and along Scotland’s most magnificent beaches. In addition to exploring the mysterious Scottish Highlands, the trip also ticks off other Scottish bucket-list items with a day trip to the Orkney Islands with possibilities of seeing puffin colonies, whiskey tasting in the famous Wolfburn Distillery and a visit to John O’Groats.

Exodus Travels’ seven-night Walk the North Highland Way is priced from £1,499 per person including seven nights’ accommodation with breakfast, six days’ guided walking, luggage transfers and transport and activities as listed.

WALKING IN CORNWALL
Offering a whole new perspective on the ancient Celtic kingdom of Cornwall, this five-day centre-based walking holiday combines coastal walking with must-see points of interest. Coastal walking along the county’s north and south coasts takes in the spectacular beaches of Polzeath and Daymer Bay, the cliffs at Stepper Point where Peregrine Falcons are known to nest and along the picturesque South West Coastal Path. The trip also includes the medieval harbour of Padstow, visits to the Lanhydrock, the Fowey Estuary, Restormel Castle and Lost Gardens of Heligan, and plenty of opportunity to dine on Cornish local fare such as fish straight from the day’s catch.

Exodus Travels’ five-night Walking in Cornwall is priced from £999 per person including five nights’ hotel accommodation with breakfast, five days’ guided walking, and transport and activities as listed.

WALKING THE GOWER PENINSULA
Britain’s first designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Gower Peninsula, is renowned for its beautiful beaches, heather-clad moors and rugged southwest coastline. Over four days on this guided walking tour, the group delves deep into the region’s natural landscapes and habitats, with highlights including the Whiteford Burrows Nature Reserve, the Llanrhidian Marsh SSSI (Site of Special Scientific Interest), Rhossili village, and the Oxwich Burrows National Nature Reserve. The route also takes in the famous “Worm’s Head” – the most westerly point on the Gower Peninsula, the nearby ruins of Salt House, and ends at the Mumbles lighthouse, a beacon of this Welsh coastal landscape.

Exodus Travels’ five night Walking the Gower Peninsula is priced from £799 per person including five nights’ hotel accommodation with breakfast, four days’ guided walking, and transport and activities as listed.
