David Brown Automotive And LINLEY Celebrate The Jubilee

David Brown Automotive is delighted to announce that it has partnered with LINLEY to commemorate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

David Linley founded LINLEY in 1985 and creates bespoke furniture, luxury gifts and accessories. The business began modestly but created an immediate stir, not least because David is the son of the Queen’s sister, the late Princess Margaret. The British public had never seen a member of the Royal Family in a vocation before.

David Brown Automotive was started by the British businessman of that name in 2013. It was born out of his admiration for iconic classic cars and a passion for hand craftsmanship combined with state-of-the-art engineering.

To mark the momentous event in British history, an example of David Brown Automotive’s Mini Remastered will be displayed in LINLEY’s flagship London showroom in Belgravia, set amongst their exquisite furniture and painstakingly crafted decorative pieces.

The modern example of one of Britain’s most loved automotive designs, hand-built at the high-technology facility at Silverstone, will be on show for one month from now.

The Mini Remastered in question will sport a fitting specification for the Queen’s 70th Jubilee, with a refined, unmistakably British specification – finished in David Brown Automotive’s take on the classic hue of Old English White, complemented by a Union Flag-adorned, hand-painted roof. Just as with the immaculate finish of LINLEY products, the gleaming paint of this Mini Remastered is perfected over hundreds of hours by the company’s expert automotive technicians.

Each David Brown Automotive creation, whether Mini Remastered or perhaps the Speedback GT grand tourer, is entirely hand-built in accordance with the rich tradition of British coachbuilding. As with every LINLEY piece crafted, each Mini Remastered which leaves David Brown Automotive’s facility is imbued with a depth of engineering and quality, using the very finest of materials.

LINLEY Creative Director, Michael Keech said:
“This Jubilee partnership will unite two British companies that are closely aligned in their values, driven by a passion to create design led, carefully handcrafted and peerlessly engineered products; whether a hand built, modernised Mini Remastered or a LINLEY hand-finished bespoke cabinet – both also delight in tradition whilst fitting seamlessly into modern life.

“LINLEY and David Brown Automotive are both focussed on taking luxury design to new heights, they are also committed to nurturing Britain’s rich tradition of hand craftsmanship.”
