Daish’s Holidays Makes East Coast Hotel Acquisition

Family owned company, Daish’s Holidays, has acquired Scarborough’s Victorian Esplanade Hotel.

Acquiring a property in the area has been one of the company’s key targets for a number of years, after seeing strong demand for a Daish’s facility in the area. The Esplanade Hotel, which overlooks the South Bay, is Daish’s tenth hotel and complements the business’ existing portfolio of coastal destinations which includes Blackpool on the Lancashire coast.

We have been on the lookout for a hotel in the area for a while as we know the location sits well within our group of hotels and is a popular destination for our customers. The Esplanade Hotel is a stunning building that boasts incredible views over the coastline which we are now proud to offer to our new and existing customers.”

Daish’s will roll out its existing, and proven-successful, business model at the new hotel, meaning that guests can enjoy nightly live entertainment and package deals including transport.

The hotel will remain open as Daish’s Holidays take on management of the facility. The new owners will look to undertake minor refurbishments to parts of the building, in sections, over the coming months, avoiding the need for full closure.

Daish’s Holidays is a family-owned and operated business that now has ten hotels, located in nine popular tourist destinations across England and Wales including Newquay and Weymouth. The company also has its own fleet of 25 luxury coaches to transport guests in comfort from a number of pick up points across the UK, stretching from West Yorkshire to Cornwall.
