BBC North Needs YOU For Owain’s Great Northern Christmas Singalong

BBC Weatherman Owain Wyn Evans has called upon people across the North of England to help recreate two Christmas classics.

Teaming up with the BBC Philharmonic, as well as Hacker & Dodge from CBBC & CBeebies, Owain will lead two giant virtual performances of ‘Winter Wonderland’ and ‘Frosty the Snowman’.

BBC North wants to create a huge virtual choir to sing along to Winter Wonderland, as well as a gigantic Christmas band to play along to Frosty the Snowman.

Members of the public are encouraged to film themselves singing or playing along to either of the songs, before uploading it to their BBC Local Radio website.

Whether you’re playing trombone, drums, singing along or even just banging your pots and pans, we want your contributions!

Entrants have until the 6th of December to upload their videos.

All uploads will be sent to the BBC Philharmonic, with the final performance to be broadcast at 1pm on Christmas Day across the ten northern stations listed below.
