A Fun Challenge That Will Change Deaf People’s Lives – The 28 Challenge

Hearing Dogs for Deaf People have a brand new February fundraiser. If you want to help them train more hearing dogs, change deaf people’s lives, and do something fun in February, simply choose a fun challenge to start at any point during Feb that involves the number 28, and raise money to help deaf people leave loneliness behind.

Do 28 sit-ups a day. Bake and sell 28 cakes. Run 28 miles. Or do a 28-hour sponsored silence. The choice is yours – be as creative as you like!

More deaf people are coming to them for help than ever before and they want to help as many as they can, for as long as they need. You can help do this by taking on The 28 Challenge and raising money to help train more amazing hearing dogs!

There are also some ‘pawsome’ rewards up for grabs, and the chance to win a fab prize in the special prize draw.

"My hearing dog Albert has totally changed my life. I used to feel so isolated and had very little confidence and independence. My whole life is different now that I have my four-legged hero. He doesn’t just alert me to sounds, he’s my best friend and is always by my side. That is why I am also going to be doing The 28 Challenge – to help other deaf people get a hearing dog like Albert, and help transform their lives like Albert transformed mine.”
